2012 Welcome
Coyote Creek Golf Club keeps getting better and better, and we expect 2012, our sixth year of operation, to continue that trend.
Course improvements continue as a major focus. The highlight of 2012 will be the opening of our new practice tee and short game area in early to mid June. We know our members and their guests will be impressed by this first class practice area. Additionally, we have completed several drainage projects on holes 11 (behind green), 12 (both sides of fairway), 13 (left side of fairway) and 15 (layup area). We plan to complete the bunker renovation project with the rebuilding of the green bunker on 10 and the fairway bunker on 18. GM Blumenherst and Superintendent Rising supported by their staff and by a talented four member greens committee are planning some variations on the normal maintenance program that will give even more quality and consistency to our normal high level of course conditions. It promises to be a great year on the links of Coyote Creek.
In addition to the course improvements; we are very pleased that Kevin Booker and his team will continue to meet all of your Food and Beverage needs. Booker's staff is focused on providing quality food and great service. Popular entertainment events such as wine tastings; trivia nights; dinner theaters; and entertainment by popular local groups have been well attended and well received through the winter. Those and other events will continue through the golf season and will provide our members and guests another venue for camaraderie and enjoyment. Of course, Booker’s will accommodate all sports enthusiasts with professional and college events on the TV’s in the lounge. Look for Coyote Creek spots on WANE TV this year during the Masters and other early in the year golf events. In addition; you will see our popular GM and Director of Golf, Bill Blumenherst with weekly golf tip spots on WANE TV news.
With Kelly Mettert's Custom Golf on site, Coyote Creek joins an elite group of just 2% of private clubs nationwide who have a full time Class A club fitter with a full service repair facility on premise. Custom Golf also has two simulators where members and guests can practice or play when the weather doesn't cooperate. Coyote Creek is thrilled to have Custom Golf on site, where many members already have recognized the value added to their membership by having convenient and regular access to Custom Golf's services.
All nine members of the Board of Directors have returned for their second year of service on the Board. We have added several new shareholders and several new corporate members. We anticipate an increase in membership as the season gets near. The member event schedule is hot off the press and can be seen online at www.coyotecreekonline.com, or picked up in the pro shop or Booker’s. A feature on that schedule is the popular Pro – Member event that returns this year after a one year absence.
As noted, the pro shop staff and course maintenance staff all return for another great year. Everything is in place and all the signs are there. It is going to be a banner year at CCGC. This is the perfect year for all members to get that friend or relative to join us. We have added a unique and inexpensive “pay as you go” membership that easily addresses the most popular reason for not joining a private club: “I do not know if I will play enough”. This PAYGO gives that person the perfect answer, and the PAYGO is also perfect for those who do the Lakes in the summer and for those who have youngsters in soccer/baseball etc. Be sure to check this plan at the pro shop and present it to anyone who you feel may have interest. Be sure to ask about
the new discounts for members under the age of 40.
To returning members and to new members; we extend a very hearty welcome to 2012 at Coyote Creek. We pledge to do all we can to make this the best year ever, and to provide each of you and your guests with the outstanding product and service you want and deserve.
